What is the commitment?
When an athlete really wants to do his/her best in their sport, s/he often works with a trainer or coach over time to allow for continual improvement. Life coaching is similar. You can use us to overcome limitations holding you back from accomplishing some specific goals, or to provide support on-goingly as you continue to develop new goals for continual growth and improvement. For best results, you commit to go for really “winning the game”. Experience shows that scheduling appointments one at a time too easily allows life to get in the way too easily and for your commitment to yourself to slip back into too low a priority. Our clients also tend to feel improvement fairly quickly; and that can cause you to stop the work too quickly, before it's really complete enough so that it will last and you'll reach your greatest potential. That's why we ask you to commit to a customized "Plan for Success" that we'll agree on is best for you, and that you acknowledge this as a learning and growth program. This is your commitment to yourself, your growth and accomplishing your deepest desires, and creates a greater assurance of your success. You can decide how you want to execute your plan, i.e. how many sessions you want per month; and this can be changed as needed. |
The most typical plan is having a full coaching session twice a month, every other week. We generally require this as the minimum, to ensure some momentum with the progress we make each session.
Some people also like to have a shorter "check-in call" in-between the full sessions, and to have e-mail access for support as needed. We will determine what level of access to your coach will work best for you. Regardless of which approach you choose, if you agree to it, we will sometimes give you “assignments” to facilitate your progress. Being accountable for following through on these will likely give you extra motivation to do what will help you. |
